La Crépuscule
La Crépuscule, meaning twilight, is a part of my Atmospheric Scintillations series, which pays homage to the splendor of Colorado sunsets.
As the sun sets, the sky transforms into a breathtaking a mosaic of smoldering purples and reds. This enchanting spectacle is a consequence of the scattering of sunlight by minuscule particles in the air. During twilight, the sun’s lower position filters out shorter wavelengths of daylight, paving the way for longer wavelengths with a rosy tint to dominate the sky. The interplay of colors and clouds during this magical time of the day showcases the complexity and beauty of the world around us, reminding us of the grandeur that exists even in the most ordinary moments of our lives.
